What Anthropic announced
Anthropic said on March 12, 2026 that it is launching the Claude Partner Network and committing an initial $100 million to support it in 2026. The program is aimed at consulting firms, systems integrators, professional services groups, and specialist AI providers that help enterprises deploy Claude in real production environments.
According to Anthropic, the funding will go to training, technical support, joint market development, co-marketing, and direct partner support. The company is also introducing its first technical certification, Claude Certified Architect, Foundations, and said partners that join early will get priority access to later certifications for sellers, architects, and developers.
Operationally, Anthropic said it will scale its partner-facing team fivefold. That includes Applied AI engineers who can support live customer deals, technical architects for more complex implementations, and localized go-to-market support in international markets. Partners will also receive access to a Partner Portal, Anthropic Academy materials, sales playbooks, and a Services Partner Directory for enterprise buyers looking for Claude implementation experience.
Why it matters
Enterprise AI adoption often stalls between proof of concept and production because the hardest part is not model access alone. Large organizations need integration work, compliance reviews, governance, cost controls, change management, and industry-specific implementation. Anthropic is effectively saying that the service-partner layer is strategic enough to fund directly rather than leave as a loose channel program.
The company also tied the network to high-demand workloads such as code modernization, where it is releasing a starter kit for partners. Anthropic said Claude is the only frontier AI model available across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft, which gives partners a broad multi-cloud story. If the program works as intended, Anthropic gets a faster route into enterprise spending, while partners get certifications, technical help, and co-investment that lower the cost of building Claude-focused practices.
