Vercept買収を発表
Anthropicは2026年2月25日、Xで「Claudeのコンピュータ使用能力向上のためVerceptを買収した」と発表した。AIエージェントが実際のソフトウェアを自律的に操作する能力をめぐる競争が激化する中での買収だ。
Verceptの技術とチーム
シアトル拠点のVerceptは、元Google CEOエリック・シュミットやGoogle DeepMindのジェフ・ディーンらから5,000万ドルを調達したスタートアップ。AIがデスクトップソフトウェアを自律的に制御する技術を開発してきた。共同創業者のKiana Ehsani、Luca Weihs、Ross GirshickがチームとともにAnthropicに参加する。
ClaudeのPC操作能力が大幅向上
Anthropicによると、Claude Sonnet 4.6のコンピュータ使用能力は飛躍的に向上した。OSWorldベンチマークでは2024年末の15%未満から現在72.5%へと大幅に改善し、複雑なスプレッドシート操作や複数ブラウザタブでのフォーム入力などで人間レベルに近づいている。
製品終了と移行
VerceptのデスクトップアプリVyは買収後30日以内にサービスを終了する予定で、既存ユーザーはClaudeツールへの移行が促される。共同創業者たちはスタートアップの使命がAnthropicでより大きな住処を見つけたと語った。
