Claude Enterprise goes self-serve with direct purchase, SSO, and compliance controls

Anthropic said on February 12, 2026 that Claude Enterprise can now be purchased directly from the Claude website without a required sales conversation. That turns what is usually a slower enterprise procurement motion into a self-serve workflow in which an organization can create a workspace, configure SSO, and start inviting users in minutes.

The company describes Claude Enterprise as a package that combines Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork with the controls enterprises usually ask for before broader rollout. Anthropic says teams can connect Claude to Microsoft 365, Slack, and other systems through connectors, or collaborate with Claude directly inside Excel and PowerPoint through built-in chat sidebars.

What is included

The announcement makes clear that the self-serve launch is not a lightweight trial tier. Anthropic says Claude Enterprise includes domain capture, SCIM provisioning, audit logs, a Compliance API, usage analytics, and custom data retention policies. It also reiterates that Claude Enterprise content is not used for model training by default, which is a central requirement for customers handling sensitive code, internal documents, or regulated information.

Anthropic also frames the product around large working sets. Claude Enterprise is positioned for organizations that want AI systems to work across large codebases, extensive document collections, and broad internal context rather than isolated chat prompts. That matters because many enterprise deployments are constrained as much by governance and operational setup as by raw model quality.

Why the launch matters

The practical effect of the self-serve release is speed. Teams that already know they want to evaluate or deploy Claude no longer need to wait for an initial sales cycle before they can stand up a governed environment. Instead, they can begin inside a controlled workspace and then expand usage as security, procurement, and business owners align around the rollout.

The launch also shows how Anthropic is packaging frontier models for everyday work rather than standalone chat. By placing Claude, Claude Code, Cowork, connectors, and Office integrations under one enterprise offer, the company is pushing a broader platform story: coding, research, document work, and multi-step delegation all live inside the same governed environment. For enterprise buyers, that makes the discussion less about a single model and more about how quickly a team can move from evaluation to real operational use.
