What the tweet put into production

Anthropic moved one of its cyber capabilities from gated preview into a product surface security teams can actually switch on. The Claude account wrote that Claude Security is now in public beta for Enterprise customers, framing the product as a scan, validation, and patch workflow rather than a chatbot demo. That matters because most AI security products still stop at “possible issue found.” Anthropic is trying to compress detection, triage, and remediation into one loop that a real AppSec team could use every week.

“Claude scans your codebase for vulnerabilities, validates each finding, and suggests patches you can review and approve.”

The Claude account is Anthropic’s product release channel, and the linked materials make the rollout more concrete. Anthropic says Claude Security can scan repositories in parallel, challenge its own findings through an adversarial verification pass, and export or route findings into existing workflows through webhooks, CSV, or Markdown. The April 30 beta launch also adds scheduled scans, directory-level targeting, and documented dismissals that carry forward across later scans. Anthropic’s public beta pages say the product is powered by Claude Opus 4.7, the company’s strongest generally available model for code security work.

Why the workflow design matters

Anthropic says hundreds of organizations used the earlier preview on production code and found issues that older scanners had missed. That is the real threshold for interest. Security teams do not need one more dashboard full of noisy alerts; they need something that shortens time from scan to fix without burying engineers in false positives. By keeping every proposed patch behind human review, Anthropic is positioning Claude Security as an acceleration layer for analysts rather than an autopilot that bypasses change control.

What to watch next is whether the validation layer stays reliable on very large codebases and how quickly access expands beyond Enterprise. Anthropic already says Team and Max support is coming soon. If the signal quality holds up, Claude Security could become one of the first frontier-model products to land in routine AppSec work instead of living as a one-off proof of concept.
