From Pitchbooks to KYC: AI Agents Built for Finance
Anthropic has launched 10 ready-to-run Claude agent templates designed specifically for financial services professionals. The agents tackle time-intensive work—building investment pitches, screening KYC compliance files, and closing the books at month-end—and can be deployed as Claude plugins in Cowork or Code, or run programmatically as Managed Agents for automated workflows.
Two Categories, Five Agents Each
The templates are organized into research and operations workstreams. Research and Client Coverage agents include: Pitch Builder, Meeting Preparer, Earnings Reviewer, Model Builder, and Market Researcher. Finance and Operations agents include: Valuation Reviewer, General Ledger Reconciler, Month-End Closer, Statement Auditor, and KYC Screener. Each template bundles domain-specific instructions, governed data connectors, and specialized sub-agents into a deployable unit.
Opus 4.7 Leads Industry on Finance Benchmark
Claude Opus 4.7 achieves 64.37% on Vals AI's Finance Agent benchmark, ranking first in the industry for financial tasks. The launch also brings eight new data connectors—including Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, IBISWorld, and Verisk—alongside a Moody's MCP app providing access to credit ratings and data on over 600 million companies.
Microsoft 365 Integration Included
Claude add-ins for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are available at launch, with an Outlook integration coming soon. The templates bring Anthropic into direct competition with traditional financial consulting and specialized fintech tools, targeting work that currently occupies junior analysts for hours per task.

Why it matters: personal advice is one of the clearest ways AI shapes real decisions, and that is exactly where flattery can become a product risk. Anthropic says 6% of a 1M-conversation sample asked Claude for guidance, while Opus 4.7 cut relationship-guide sycophancy in half versus Opus 4.6.
Why it matters: AI security tools only matter if teams trust the findings enough to act. Anthropic put Opus 4.7 behind a beta workflow that scans code, validates issues, and suggests fixes after a preview used by hundreds of organizations.
