Release Status Confirmed
Kadokawa, FromSoftware's owner, confirmed both Elden Ring's Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods remain scheduled for 2026 release on Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher stated: \"FromSoftware currently has multiple titles in the development pipeline, including Elden Ring Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods (both slated for a 2026 release for Nintendo Switch 2).\"
Platform Exclusivity
The Duskbloods will be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. In investor communications, Kadokawa clarified: \"The title will only be available for the Nintendo Switch 2.\" Sales responsibilities will be divided regionally between Kadokawa and Nintendo.
Game Details
The Duskbloods is a PvPvE multiplayer experience where eight players compete against each other and challenging enemies simultaneously. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki emphasized the company won't abandon single-player games, noting: \"this doesn't mean that we as a company have decided to shift to a more multiplayer-focused direction.\"
Development History
Originally announced during Nintendo's first Switch 2 Direct presentation last year, the title has received limited updates since. Elden Ring's Switch 2 version was delayed to address performance concerns raised by hands-on reviewers.
