KPMG and Anthropic Sign Global Alliance: 276K Employees to Use Claude via Digital Gateway
Anthropic and KPMG announced a global strategic alliance on May 19, 2026, embedding Claude directly into KPMG's Digital Gateway client delivery platform. All 276,000 KPMG employees will gain access to Anthropic's Claude suite.
Three Priority Areas
- Tax: Building an AI agent to help clients respond to changing tax regulations used to take weeks. With Cowork and Managed Agents integrated in Digital Gateway, the same task now takes minutes. U.S. operations will also embed Claude into private equity-focused product offerings.
- Private Equity: Anthropic is naming KPMG a preferred PE partner and the two companies will co-develop Claude-powered products for portfolio companies.
- Cybersecurity: Joint development of AI assurance capabilities, automated vulnerability detection and remediation across clients' AI systems.
A Signal for Enterprise AI
KPMG becomes the first Big Four accounting firm to sign a dedicated alliance with Anthropic. The deal marks a broader shift in enterprise AI adoption -- from standalone chatbots to agents embedded directly into core business platforms.
