OpenAI、企業向けAI展開専門の「Deployment Company」を40億ドルで設立
OpenAIは5月11日、企業のAI活用を支援する合弁会社「OpenAI Deployment Company（DeployCo）」を正式に設立した。TPG主導でAdvent、Bain Capital、Brookfieldを共同創設パートナーとする19社のコンソーシアムから40億ドル以上が拠出され、設立前評価額は約100億ドルに達する。
組織構造と支配権
DeployCo はOpenAIが過半数出資・支配するデラウェア州LLC。OpenAI自身も最大15億ドル（5億ドル即時 + 10億ドルオプション）を拠出し、PEファンド投資家には5年間年率17.5%のリターンを保証した。金融シンジケートにはGoldman Sachs、SoftBank、Warburg Pincus、BBVAなどが名を連ね、コンサルティング・SI側はBain & Company、Capgemini、McKinseyが参加する。
Tomoro買収と現場展開エンジニア
DeployCo は設立と同時にロンドン拠点のAIコンサル企業Tomoroを買収し、150名のForward Deployed Engineer（FDE）をday-1から確保した。FDEは顧客企業に直接常駐し、コアワークフローをAI中心に再設計することで、AI能力を持続可能な業務システムへと転換させる。
戦略的意義
OpenAIはモデル提供者から企業AI展開のフルスタックパートナーへの転換を鮮明にした。PalantirやAccentureが先行するエンタープライズAI構築・展開市場への直接参入となる。詳細はOpenAI公式発表を参照。
