Star Trek: Resurgence、distribution license終了でSteam販売終了へ

store noticeの要点

Steamは、Star Trek: Resurgenceのdistribution licenseが終了し、このタイトルが今後sale対象から外れるとする短いnoticeを掲載した。同じ告知では、既存購入者は引き続きSteam library経由でゲームにアクセスできると説明している。

この文言が重要なのは、今回の動きがlicensingによるstore removalであって、server shutdown noticeでもpatchやsupport roadmapでもないからだ。公式文面には代替storefrontも、復帰時期も、新規購入者向けの移行案も書かれていない。純粋なdistribution rightsの告知である。
