Pearl Abyss has used its April 9, 2026 Dev Update to outline how Crimson Desert will evolve through its first major post-launch stretch. The studio says the new features will roll out gradually from April through June and that the list was shaped by player feedback gathered during the opening weeks in Pywel. That timing matters because it shows the team is not only tuning numbers; it is already building a wider roadmap around repeatable challenge content, character adjustments, and quality-of-life work.

The headline additions are Boss Rematches, Re-blockading, and difficulty settings. Boss Rematches let players revisit major fights to test new strategies. Re-blockading brings pressure back to reclaimed areas by allowing enemy remnants to seize liberated locations again. Difficulty settings will add easy, normal, and hard modes so newer and more advanced players can shape the pace of the adventure. Pearl Abyss also said more combat-focused content is in development beyond this first group of changes.

Player-feedback features are spread across the whole game

Damiane and Oongka are set to receive new skills comparable to Force Palm and Axiom Force.
A hide-back-weapons option and new outfits are planned, including expanded usability for some outfits that were previously only sold or donated.
Specialized storage for food, wardrobe items, gatherables, and collections is coming, alongside new pets, more summonable mounts, and planned mount armor.

The systems layer is getting almost as much attention as combat. Pearl Abyss says it will add a minimum font size option to improve legibility across the game's 14 UI languages, keep iterating on the map, inventory, and housing interfaces, and expand controller and keyboard customization. It is also improving distant scenery quality, while warning that patch size may increase because of the visual work. That is a practical note, but it also signals that the studio is treating presentation, accessibility, and controls as part of the same roadmap rather than as isolated fixes.

There is one more small but notable signal in the announcement: Pearl Abyss says a Crimson Desert OST will be released for free on Steam and major music streaming platforms. Put together, the update reads like a live-service style post-launch check-in even if Crimson Desert is still positioning itself around a premium action-adventure identity. The feature names remain tentative and Pearl Abyss explicitly warns that details may change before release, but the April-to-June roadmap is already broad enough to show where the team thinks the biggest pressure points are.
