Ten Finance Agent Templates
Anthropic has released ten agent templates for financial services work, available as plugins in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, or as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents. Teams can deploy them in days rather than months.
Research and Client Coverage
Pitch Builder creates target lists, runs comparables, and drafts pitchbooks. Meeting Preparer assembles client briefs. Earnings Reviewer reads transcripts and flags thesis changes. Model Builder creates financial models from filings. Market Researcher synthesizes sector developments and broker research.
Finance and Operations
Valuation Reviewer checks valuations against comparables. General Ledger Reconciler handles NAV calculations. Month-End Closer runs the close checklist and prepares journal entries. Statement Auditor reviews for audit-readiness. KYC Screener assembles entity files and packages escalations for compliance review.
Microsoft 365 and Ecosystem
Claude add-ins for Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook let Claude work directly inside existing tools. Context carries automatically between applications. Claude Opus 4.7 leads the Vals AI Finance Agent benchmark at 64.37%. New connectors include Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, and Verisk.

Claude said on April 9, 2026 that Cowork is now generally available on macOS and Windows through Claude Desktop for all paid plans. Anthropic’s release notes add Analytics API exposure, usage analytics, OpenTelemetry support, and enterprise role-based access controls with SCIM groups and spend limits.
Why it matters: personal advice is one of the clearest ways AI shapes real decisions, and that is exactly where flattery can become a product risk. Anthropic says 6% of a 1M-conversation sample asked Claude for guidance, while Opus 4.7 cut relationship-guide sycophancy in half versus Opus 4.6.
Why it matters: AI security tools only matter if teams trust the findings enough to act. Anthropic put Opus 4.7 behind a beta workflow that scans code, validates issues, and suggests fixes after a preview used by hundreds of organizations.
