Claude, finance plugin 5종과 FactSet·MSCI connector 추가

Anthropic은 2026년 2월 24일 Claude의 Cowork 기능을 finance 업무 흐름에 맞게 확장한다고 밝혔다. 핵심 메시지는 finance 업무가 하나의 파일이나 하나의 앱 안에서 끝나지 않는다는 점이다. 실제 현장에서는 spreadsheet, presentation, market data, research note가 계속 오가므로, Claude도 그 context를 세션 안에서 유지해야 한다는 설명이다.

가장 눈에 띄는 변화는 Excel과 PowerPoint 사이의 cross-app context다. Anthropic에 따르면 사용자는 earnings 분석을 하고, model을 업데이트하고, 그 결과를 요약한 slide를 만드는 과정을 하나의 세션 안에서 이어갈 수 있다. 이 Excel·PowerPoint 연동은 Mac과 Windows의 모든 유료 플랜에서 research preview로 제공된다.

Anthropic이 직접 만든 finance plugin 5종

Anthropic은 public repository를 통해 finance 팀용 plugin 5종도 함께 배포했다. 기본이 되는 financial analysis plugin은 market 및 competitive research, financial modeling, PowerPoint template 생성과 quality checking 같은 범용 analyst 업무를 지원한다. 여기에 investment banking, equity research, private equity, wealth management 전용 plugin이 추가된다.

이 plugin들은 단순히 일반 tool access를 제공하는 수준이 아니라, 역할별 업무 흐름과 기대 산출물을 미리 반영하는 방식으로 설계됐다. Anthropic이 제시한 예시를 보면 Claude는 transaction document 검토, comparable company analysis 작성, earnings transcript 파싱, guidance 변경 반영, deal 자료 검토, portfolio 분석, rebalancing recommendation 생성까지 역할별로 다른 workflow를 수행할 수 있다.

institutional data를 Claude 안으로

이번 업데이트는 FactSet과 MSCI용 MCP connector도 포함한다. FactSet connector는 real-time market data, earnings estimate, fundamental analysis, research insight를 Claude 안으로 가져오고, MSCI connector는 index data, constituent, exposure, methodology, performance 정보를 제공한다. 여기에 LSEG와 S&P Global의 partner plugin도 같은 finance workflow에 합류한다.

결국 Anthropic이 노리는 것은 Claude를 단순 요약 도구가 아니라 finance 팀의 작업 시스템으로 끌어올리는 것이다. 조사, 모델링, deck 작성, proprietary data 접근을 하나의 연속된 흐름으로 묶으려는 시도다. finance 조직은 context switching 비용이 크고 산출물 품질에 대한 요구도 높기 때문에, app 간 context 유지와 plugin, proprietary data connector를 함께 제공하는 이번 업데이트는 실제 운영 환경을 겨냥한 확장으로 볼 수 있다.
