Impressive Premium Tier Numbers
Forza Horizon 6 has crossed the $140 million mark in revenue generated solely from its Premium Edition, according to Insider Gaming. At $120 on Steam, the Premium Edition bundles the base game with a VIP Pack, two expansions, a Car Pass, and three car packs—content that community members estimate is worth over $175 when purchased separately.
Value Proposition Driving Conversions
Long-time Forza fans noted that the franchise's DLC strategy consistently delivers content worth the premium price. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers had an additional path: a $60 upgrade from Game Pass access to the Premium tier, which lowered the financial barrier considerably and likely drove significant additional uptake across Xbox and the Microsoft Store.
Lingering Criticisms
Despite the revenue milestone, community feedback flagged some persistent disappointments. Character model quality—a recurring critique across the franchise—was noted as unchanged from the previous title. For a franchise generating this level of premium revenue, the gap between environment quality and character rendering remains a noticeable sore spot.
