GTA 6 Confirmed Console-Only at Launch, No PC Version on Day One

Console First, PC Later
Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on consoles on November 19, 2026, without a simultaneous PC release. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed the news in an interview with Bloomberg.
The CEO Explanation
Rockstar always starts on console because with a release of that magnitude you are judged by serving the core. If your core consumer is not served first and best, you do not reach your other consumers, Zelnick explained.
Historical Precedent
This follows Rockstar's established pattern. GTA V launched on PC about 18 months after consoles, and Red Dead Redemption 2 also arrived on PC well after its console debut. Zelnick did not explicitly deny a future PC version, and the community broadly expects one to follow. GTA V's PC release famously gave the game a massive second life through modding.
