Perplexity、Computer for Enterpriseを公開　sandboxed agent実行と管理統制を統合

Perplexityは2026年3月12日、Computer for Enterpriseを公開し、enterprise向けにagent workflowを安全に運用するための新しい実行レイヤーを打ち出した。これは単なるchat UIではなく、research、browser操作、code execution、recurring task automationを組織のgovernanceの中で回すことを前提にしたproductだ。

Perplexityの公式説明では、Computer for Enterpriseは既存のenterprise platform上に構築されている。つまりconsumer向け機能をそのまま移植したものではなく、SOC 2 Type II、SAML SSO、audit logs、administrative controlsといったenterprise要件を最初から引き継ぐ。さらに、すべてのtaskはisolated cloud environmentで動作し、authenticated integrationsとsecure browser、secure code executionがsandbox内部で処理されるとしている。

この発表が示すのは、enterprise AIの購買条件がanswer qualityだけではなくなったということだ。企業は、複数ソースを調べ、webを操作し、codeを実行し、定期業務を自動化しながらも、identity管理やaudit trailを維持できるruntimeを求めている。Computer for Enterpriseは、その要求に正面から応える構成になっている。

同時期にPerplexityはComet Enterpriseやdeveloper API群も拡張しており、検索サービスからagent platformへと重心を移している。Searchがdiscovery layer、browserがinteraction layerだとすれば、Computer for Enterpriseは実際のknowledge workを処理するexecution layerという位置づけになる。

Enterprise AIの競争軸は、単一のmodel benchmarkだけでは測れなくなっている。どのvendorがより明確なcontrol、isolation、auditabilityを備えたruntimeを提供できるかが、実運用に入るかどうかを左右する。Perplexityの今回の動きは、その評価軸がすでに市場で主流になり始めていることを示している。
