The Wait Is Almost Over
Mina the Hollower, the next original game from Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games, has been officially confirmed for a May 29, 2026 release. Veteran games journalist Jason Schreier shared the news on Bluesky, noting it was finally, really, truly this time coming out, a nod to the game's history of delays. The Steam store page has been updated to reflect the date.
What Is Mina the Hollower?
Mina the Hollower is a top-down action-adventure game drawing heavy inspiration from Nintendo's classic The Legend of Zelda Oracle games, specifically Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. The game features a new world, new characters, and a fresh take on the classic handheld Zelda formula.
Platform Availability
The game is confirmed for PC via Steam and consoles on May 29. A physical Nintendo Switch cartridge release is also in the works. Mina the Hollower marks Yacht Club Games' first entirely new IP after years of Shovel Knight expansions and spin-offs.
