The baseline looks broad by 2026 blockbuster standards. Steam lists Windows 10 22H2, an Intel i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB RAM, and a GPU floor of Nvidia GTX 1650, AMD RX 6500 XT, or Intel Arc A380 / Arc B390. DirectX 12 and an SSD are required. For players on older desktops, that is significantly less intimidating than a mandatory RTX-class entry point.

The official FAQ adds context that matters for portable PC users. Forza says Forza Horizon 6 supports Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X plus other Windows 11 PC handheld devices, and the game is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on 2026-05-19, with PS5 following later in 2026. Premium buyers can start on 2026-05-15.

There is still one caveat. The FAQ says the current Steam requirements are minimum specs and that finalized PC specs will be revealed closer to release. That means performance targets, ray tracing expectations, and recommended settings are still in flux even though the floor is already public.

Even so, the current signal is clear. Playground Games and Xbox appear to be positioning Forza Horizon 6 for a wide install base across conventional PCs, handhelds, Game Pass subscribers, and later PS5 players. Combined with support for DLSS, FSR, and XeSS in the FAQ, the hardware message is accessibility first and premium scaling second.

For PC buyers, the smart read is that the launch build should be reachable on mainstream hardware, but the final experience will depend on the unreleased recommended spec sheet. Until those details land, the Steam minimums and handheld confirmation are enough to make Forza Horizon 6 one of the more approachable high-profile racing releases on the 2026 calendar.
