The pressure point is memory. Sharma said Project Helix could feel the impact of a broader chip shortage tied to heavy AI data-center spending, a market dynamic that has already distorted component pricing across the industry. Game Developer noted that Microsoft still plans to begin shipping Project Helix development kits in 2027, but there is no consumer launch date yet.
