GameSpot reported on April 28 that PlayStation users are seeing 30-day online validation windows on digital purchases made after March 2026. Sony had not clarified whether the behavior is intentional or a bug at publication time.
Reports from April 25 say some PlayStation digital games now need an online license refresh every 30 days on updated systems. Does It Play says an anonymous insider described the issue as an exploit fix gone wrong, but Sony has not issued a public explanation.
Insider Gaming reports that the Battlefield communications team will delist Battlefield Hardline from PS4 and Xbox One storefronts on May 22, 2026, with online services on those consoles ending on June 22. The PC version remains on sale and online.
