OpenAI가 Agents SDK에 model-native harness와 native sandbox execution을 넣어 agent가 파일을 읽고, command를 실행하고, code를 고치는 workflow를 표준화했다. Blaxel, Cloudflare, Daytona, E2B, Modal, Runloop, Vercel을 지원하며 Python부터 GA로 제공된다.

약 260포인트를 받은 Launch HN 글은 Freestyle을 coding agent용 인프라로 소개했다. 핵심은 sub-second VM startup, 실행 중인 sandbox의 live forking, pause-and-resume persistence, 내장 git hosting, 그리고 데모용 container가 아닌 full Linux VM이라는 점이다.

Perplexity는 2026년 3월 12일 Computer for Enterprise를 공개했다. SOC 2 Type II, SAML SSO, audit logs, admin controls를 기반으로 browser 작업과 code execution을 isolated cloud environment에서 실행하는 것이 핵심이다.

Vercel은 2026년 3월 12일 X에서 Notion Workers가 Vercel Sandbox 위에서 agent-capable code를 실행한다고 강조했다. Vercel 공식 글은 Workers가 third-party sync, automation, AI agent tool call을 담당하고, Sandbox가 isolation, credential management, network control, snapshots, active-CPU billing을 제공한다고 설명한다.

Perplexity는 March 11, 2026에 Sandbox API를 Agent API tool이자 standalone service로 제공하겠다고 밝혔다. 기존 문서가 Agent API를 명시적 tool configuration을 갖춘 multi-provider interface로 설명하고 있는 만큼, 이번 업데이트는 code execution을 orchestration의 핵심 primitive 쪽으로 끌어온다.
