Magic Pointer and Custom Widgets
The signature feature, Magic Pointer, turns the cursor into an AI interface: wiggling it anywhere on screen instantly surfaces contextual suggestions powered by Gemini. The "Create Your Widget" feature lets users generate personalized dashboards by prompting Gemini in natural language, pulling data from the web and Google services like Gmail and Calendar. The platform also supports running Android apps directly, enabling tight integration with Android phones for seamless file access.
Major OEMs on Board, Fall 2026 Launch
Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo have already committed to building Googlebook devices, with launches expected in the second half of 2026. Additional details are expected at Google I/O 2026 on May 19, including potential pricing tiers and enterprise availability.
