2026년 3월 9일 OpenAI는 X 게시물에서 AI security platform Promptfoo를 인수할 계획이라고 밝혔다. OpenAI는 이번 거래를 더 안전한 agent를 구축·배포하기 위한 enterprise stack인 OpenAI Frontier의 확장과 직접 연결했다.
OpenAI 발표에 따르면 Promptfoo는 이미 Fortune 500의 25% 이상이 AI application security assessment와 red teaming에 사용하는 도구다. OpenAI는 인수를 통해 integrated security·safety testing, 개발 workflow와의 더 긴밀한 연결, 그리고 agent 운영 전반의 oversight·accountability 기능을 Frontier에 추가하겠다고 설명했다.
