Thick As Thieves ends content updates and moves toward peer-to-peer servers

Thick As Thieves will receive no further content updates. Game director Jeff Hickman explained the decision in a Steam post, while PC Gamer reports that the May 2026 stealth heist game struggled after launch with limited content, post-release fixes, and major staffing cuts at OtherSide Entertainment.
The practical player-facing change is server preservation. Thick As Thieves is being moved toward peer-to-peer servers so solo and co-op play can continue. Publisher Megabit is expected to take over maintenance. For players waiting for new maps or a larger campaign expansion, the roadmap is effectively over.
The game launched on PC in May 2026 at a $5 price point, built around solo and two-player co-op stealth heists. PC Gamer describes the launch version as thin, with two maps and a short campaign, and notes that basic PC options such as key rebinding arrived only after release. OtherSide also went through a project cancellation and two rounds of layoffs, leaving fewer than 10 employees.
The r/pcgaming post focused on the exact notice: “No further content updates.” Comment access was limited during this RSS run, but the concrete community split is visible in the framing around the post: disappointment that a Warren Spector-linked stealth project is ending its post-launch expansion, balanced against interest in keeping co-op and solo access alive through peer-to-peer networking.
