The studio said the newer PSSR would bring noticeable improvements in image stability and clarity of motion, and specifically framed the update around revisiting the Oldest House and Bright Falls with a higher level of visual fidelity. That is the key signal here. Remedy did not just mention generic support for PS5 Pro; it pointed at the exact visual benefits Sony has been selling for the upgraded upscaler. For players, that matters more than raw marketing language because both games lean heavily on fast-moving particles, post-processing, shadows, and reflective materials.

What is still unknown

There are still limits to what has been confirmed. Remedy did not publish a detailed patch schedule, performance breakdown, or before-and-after analysis for either game. Sony also has not said exactly how large the uplift will be from title to title once the system update is widely available. So the current takeaway is not that these two games have already been fully profiled and benchmarked in public. The confirmed point is narrower but still significant: upgraded PSSR is no longer a one-game showcase. It is moving into two of the most visually recognizable modern Remedy releases, which makes them important test cases for whether Sony's latest image-quality pitch holds up in real play.
