Arrowhead Studio's HELLDIVERS 2 has officially announced a crossover with Warhammer 40,000, revealed at the Warhammer Skulls 2026 showcase. This marks the third major franchise crossover for HELLDIVERS 2.

Helldivers 2's recent Steam reviews have fallen to "Mostly Negative" following a controversial update and an unsatisfying AMA by developer Arrowhead. Players review-bombed the co-op shooter, and Arrowhead has since responded acknowledging the community's concerns.

Arrowhead Game Studios announced via Steam News that Helldivers 2 will remove its Steam “large build” alongside the next patch on March 17, 2026. The studio said testing, player feedback, and heavy traffic during the Machinery of Oppression update gave confidence in the slimmer build path.
