Hypixel Studios is taking legal action over Hytale: Sandbox RPG on the Switch eShop, a RoVi Ninen title Nintendo Life says copies Hytale branding while the real game remains in PC early access.

A March 2026 notice on the Create project page says key contributors have been approached by the Hytale team to help with game design. Create for Minecraft will continue, but the note signals a slower pace for major new features while those creators focus on Hytale.

A high-signal r/pcgaming post points to PC Gamer reporting that Hypixel sees Hytale modding as both a creative roadmap and a hiring pipeline. The studio paired that message with a modding contest offering 65 winners and a six-figure prize pool.
