HAWKED is now on a clear shutdown timeline. An official Steam news post shared into r/pcgaming says MY.GAMES has decided to discontinue the project, with PC servers staying online until June 9, 2026 and Console servers remaining active until September 7, 2026. After those dates, the game and its online services will be permanently retired.

The announcement is unusually specific about the sunset process. Starting March 11, 2026, all in-game purchases and payments were disabled. Players can still log in and use content they already own during the remaining service window, but no new spending is allowed. MY.GAMES also said the current Renegade Pass will be extended until September 7 and that every player logging in from March 11 onward will receive free access to the Realities Pack. On top of that, in-game shop contents for Hawks were unlocked, effectively turning the final stretch into a wrap-up period rather than a normal live-service season.

The FAQ makes clear this is a full retirement, not a maintenance-mode downgrade. HAWKED requires a constant connection to its servers, so once shutdown happens the game will no longer function. It also will not remain available for download after retirement. MY.GAMES says the official website will close, the Discord will stay viewable but no longer be actively maintained, and official social channels may be archived after service ends. Refunds for eligible purchases are being handled through the policies of each platform, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and PlayStation, with MY.GAMES support available for extra help.

As for why this is happening, the company says the decision followed internal discussions and a review of the project's long-term prospects, and that resources are being reallocated toward other products and future developments. That explanation is broad, but it maps closely to the pattern many live-service closures follow when a title no longer justifies continued operational investment. From an industry perspective, HAWKED is another reminder that the end of a live-service game is judged not only by the closure itself but by how cleanly the operator handles the wind-down. MY.GAMES has at least provided a concrete timetable, a no-new-spending cutoff, reward access during the final months, and platform-based refund instructions. The remaining question is whether the company executes that exit as cleanly as it has described it.
