Google Introduces Googlebook: AI-Native Laptops Powered by Gemini Intelligence
Google unveiled Googlebook at the Android Show on May 12, a new category of AI-native laptops built around Gemini Intelligence. Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo are manufacturing partners, with first devices expected to ship this fall.

- Magic Pointer: Developed with Google DeepMind, this AI-powered cursor activates Gemini when you wiggle your cursor — it understands on-screen content and offers contextual suggestions in real time.
- Create Your Widget: Users can build custom widgets by prompting Gemini in natural language. Widgets can pull live data from the web and connect with Gmail and Calendar for a personalized dashboard.
- Android Integration: Googlebook syncs seamlessly with Android phones, giving instant access to phone apps and files. Premium hardware features a distinctive glowbar design.
Beyond Chromebook
