Remedy said on March 13, 2026 that Control Ultimate Edition and Alan Wake 2 will support the upgraded PSSR on PlayStation 5 Pro, extending Sony's newer AI upscaler rollout beyond its first showcase title.

PS5 Pro owners are set to receive an improved PSSR AI upscaling update, while PC gamers running AMD RDNA 2 and 3 GPUs remain in limbo waiting for AMD to officially support FSR 4 on their hardware — despite sharing similar architecture with the PS5 Pro.

PlayStation says a new PSSR version will roll out globally to PS5 Pro users in coming weeks, with Resident Evil Requiem as the first shipping title and a broader system-level quality option planned in March 2026.
