The Blood of Dawnwalker now has a firm launch date. Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves said on April 28 that the open-world dark fantasy RPG will ship on September 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The publisher also opened pre-orders immediately, with the Standard Edition priced at $69.99 and the Eclipse Edition at $79.99.
The pricing matters because this was more than a trailer beat. Bandai Namco attached a full commercial plan to the reveal: the Eclipse Edition adds a digital world compendium, soundtrack, and comic book, while the base edition stays at the standard premium price. Gematsu’s summary of the announcement also points to a structure built around day-and-night gameplay loops, a vampire protagonist named Coen, and quests that push the in-game clock forward whenever players commit to them.
That time system is what caught the Reddit thread. One of the top comments immediately mapped out how crowded September already looks, while others focused on whether the game’s limited-time structure will feel tense or just punishing. Several replies also zeroed in on the PC requirements discussed around the announcement, with players questioning how a September RPG asking for high-end hardware will land in a year already full of heavyweight releases.
So the pitch is clearer now than it was a week ago. The release date is set, the platform list is fixed, and the price ladder is public. What players still want to see between now and September is whether Rebel Wolves can make the time pressure, branching quests, and human-versus-vampire split feel like the core of the game instead of a marketing hook attached to another Unreal Engine 5 action RPG.
